Steven Spielberg beats up Simon Pegg on the sets of `Tintin`

London: Simon Pegg found working with Oscar-award-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg a hands-on experience as he "beat him up" during a fight scene in the upcoming `Tintin` film.

The 40-year-old actor stars as detective Thompson in 3D film `The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn`, which is slated for release next year.

Filming for the movie was tough for him as Spielberg tussled with him on the set to show co-star Andy Serkis how to act out a fight scene, Contactmusic reported.

"There was one day where he actually demonstrated to Andy Serkis how Captain Haddock should beat me up. I was lying on the floor with him holding me by the lapel, shaking me, hitting me against the floor, and I was just laughing because it was Steven Spielberg!," Pegg said.

Based on the three stories, `The Crab with the Golden Claws`, `The Secret of the Unicorn` and `Red Rackham`s Treasure` it stars Jamie Bell in the lead role along with Nick Frost and Daniel Craig.
