London: Actor Theo James says he spent a month on physical training to have a powerful presence in his upcoming sci-fi film `Divergent`.
The 29-year-old actor trained hard to perform stunts for the film where he is playing a role of Tobias `Four` Eaton, reported Contactmusic.
"We had about a month of training, which was great. I wanted my character `Four`, to have a powerful presence physically so you felt you didn`t want to mess with him," James said.
His character in the movie is of the leader a rebellious group who pride themselves on their bravery.
"It`s actually quite different. There is of course crossover, the strong female lead and a future where the world has gone through some kind of catastrophe war, but generally that`s where the comparison ends. It`s more about identity," he added.
`Divergent`, is based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth and stars stars Shailene Woodley as Beatrice `Tris` Prior as the female lead. It will be released later this month.
