Tom Felton ‘grateful’ for not getting lead roles in ‘Harry Potter’

New York: ‘Harry Potter’ star Tom Felton has admitted that he feels happy that he never landed the lead roles in the popular wizard series.
Felton, 23, has played Harry Potter’s arch-nemesis Draco Malfoy for the past 10 years. The actor recently told MTV News that he would be a “very different individual” had he landed the roles of Harry Potter or Ron Weasley, which eventually went to Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, respectively. “I’m very grateful I am in the film at all, but even more grateful that I got the character of Draco,” the New York Daily News quoted him as saying. “I think Rupert and Dan – there’s no question in my mind, there’s no one else in the world that, A) could have played the character better, but B) could have handled the behind-the-scenes pressure those guys have dealt with over the last decade,” he said.
