Universal bosses want Brit director to helm ‘Bridget Jones 3’

Washington: American filmmaker Paul Feig has reportedly pulled out of directing ‘Bridget Jones 3’ after Universal bosses concluded that they want a British filmmaker to bring it to life, since the story is set in the UK.

According to Deadline.com, Feig has developed the latest draft of the script.

Actress Renee Zellweger is reprising her role as the girl who is unlucky-in-love, while Hugh Grant and Colin Firth are rumoured to be returning as her love interests playing Daniel Cleaver and Mark Darcy respectively, reported Contactmusic.

Production on the sequel is due to begin in January.
