Los Angeles: Hollywood actors Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page have been roped in to star in Woody Allen`s yet-untitled project to be set in Rome. The veteran filmmaker has also lined up Alec Baldwin and Penelope Cruz for the film.
Allen, who wrote the screenplay himself, is keeping the plot under wraps, said the Hollywood Reporter. In addition to writing and directing, the 75-year-old director also plans to appear in the film produced by Letty Aronson and Helen Robin. Filming will begin in Rome this summer. Eisenberg drummed up a number of award nominations over the past six months for playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in `The Social Network`. Page, best known for playing a smart-mouthed pregnant teenager in 2007`s `Juno`, was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Christopher Nolan`s `Inception`. Allen`s latest project `Midnight in Paris` features French president Nicolas Sarkozy`s wife Carla Bruni and will open the Cannes Film Festival next month. PTI
