Los Angeles: Hollywood star Will Smith is no longer attached to star in Legendary Entertainment`s `Brilliance`.
The 45-year-old actor was tipped to appear in the sci-fi adaptation, but has bowed out due to scheduling constraints, according to reports.
Smith has already signed on to Warner Bros` upcoming drama `Focus`, which is set for release on February 27, 2015.
Legendary Entertainment had hoped to start shooting the Julius Onah-directed project in August with Smith in the lead role.
The film is set in an alternate universe where people with special abilities are called "brilliants", and focuses on a federal agent trying to hunt down a brilliant terrorist.
In March Prometheus actress Noomi Rapace entered negotiations to join Brilliance, a story based on the best-selling novel by author Marcus Sakey.
