New Delhi: The ninth season of reality show ‘Beg Borrow Steal’ will go international and the show`s host Aaliyah is ready to take on the challenge one faces in foreign land like language and surviving on limited money.
Aaliyah, who maneuvered her way through the northeast while being handcuffed with a partner in the last season, is set for her first international journey to Thailand.
She is excited and said: "With an international destination, I`m expecting the journey to be far more difficult and challenging since the language is unknown and so is the culture. This season will give me an opportunity to know a new culture, language and explore a new destination altogether."
Having to complete her journey in merely eight days and Rs.1,000 in her pocket, Aaliyah will dodge through the floating market, Chinese Temple and Thai villages as she kickstarts her journey for the show, aired on Bindass. She is hoping her journey to be "extraordinary".
Aaliyah will be rewarded for completing her tasks, but she will also be subjected to penalties in case she doesn`t.
She will also have to overcome certain hurdles like training for kickboxing under a professional or even man an insect stall.
"Carrying the legacy of being a show with demanding tasks, challenging penalties and a relentless drive for survival, this season will see some interesting twists and turns that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. on the side you are sure to get some handy travelling tips as well," said Nikhil Gandhi, executive director, Youth Channels - Media networks Disney UTV.
The ninth season will go on air Aug 12.
