New Delhi: A few weeks back, we had reported how Sunil Grover aka Gutthi was at loggerheads with Kapil Sharma, the producer of `Comedy Nights with Kapil`.

The differences between the duo had increaed so much that Sunil had to opt out of the show. There was also buzz that Sunil had plans to play Gutthi on another show to be aired on a rival channel. But this news did not go down well with Kapil, who ended up sending a legal notice to Sunil. The notice stated that Gutthi`s character is an intellectual property of the channel, which can`t be copied.

No doubt, the Kapil-Sunil battle had become worse day by day. But it seems that the controversy is nearing its end now, if the buzz is anything to go by.

According to a leading daily, Sunil Grover, who has earlier planned to compete with Kapil`s show by telecasting his new show at the same time as `Comedy Nights with Kapil`, has decided to step back to make peace.

The daily quoted a source as saying, “Sunil has decided to not take on Comedy Nights With Kapil. Though Sunil’s show would be formatted like Kapil’s show it won’t be telecast at the same time.”

This unexpected change came as a result of a private talk between Kapil and Sunil to sort out the matter so that both the parties involved don`t eat into each others` profits.

Finally, Sunil has decided that his show won`t be aired when Kapil`s show goes on air.
