New Delhi: Abbas Parekh proved life is possible without a wife! The 36-year-old won Star Plus` reality show "Wife Bina Life", which challenged 10 men to take care of their children as well as household chores, while their wives were sent away on a two-week vacation.
He beat Rohit Datta in the grand finale, aired Saturday night.
Parekh, who runs a fast food chain, was awarded the Rs.20 lakh prize money and a trophy by Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, who looked simple and elegant in a yellow and silver suit.
An elated Parekh said he deeply missed his parents as he collected the award, along with his wife Astinder Alina Parekh and seven-year-old daughter Mahek.
Karisma, a mother of two - Samaira, six and Kiaan, one, said she loved Parekh`s "clever and jugaadu (improvised)" means of dealing with all situations. She also added: "Your love for your daughter touched my heart."
The finale saw a performance by celebrity couple Bakhtiyaar Irani and Tanaaz Currim Irani perform on "Zor Ka Jhatka", as well as dance sequences by all participating couples.
The show was hosted by Cyrus Sahukar and Mini Mathur.
