Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most promising actors in Bollywood and he has always won accolades for his acts in movies. The actor has again proved his mettle with his third stint on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The superstar has topped the telly charts over Salman’s ‘Bigg Boss’ and Akshay’s `Master Chef`.
Apparently, Big B seems to be the next hot favourite among viewers as the phenomenal host of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’. The show is getting a tough competition from ‘Bigg Boss’, having Salman Khan as its host and Akshay’s cookery show `Master Chef`, both running on the prime slots.
However, Amitabh Bachchan has emerged as the most popular TV anchor. According to the reports, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 4’ had a grand opening with 6.2 Television Viewership Rating (TVR), while Salman`s `Bigg Boss` clocked only 4.8 TVRs. Akshay Kumar`s `Master Chef` on Star Plus fell short in comparison with only 2.6 TVRs.
Talking to a news daily, a unit member of ‘Master Chef` said, "It`s not a loss for us. Of course, every reality show has different sensibilities and formats, and the three that you are comparing cater to widely different range of target groups, each with a completely different set of demographics. Every show has its own place, every host his own seat and every channel its own goal."
