London: Australian pop star Peter Andre is being probed by the TV watchdog Ofcom for allegedly promoting a hotel and an airline during his UK reality show.
The 37-year-old `Mysterious Girl` star is accused of plugging in his vacation with his children in the Atlantis Palm resort in Dubai and his first-class Emirates flights during his reality show ITV2`s `The Next Chapter`, The Sun reported online. The broadcasting standard regulator Ofcom has taken up the matter while the ITV said the references were "not promotional", contactmusic reported. The viewer in his complain alleges that Andre has intentionally plugged the destination on his show while his daughter was wearing air hostess replica to advertise Emirates airline. The UK follows strict rules when it comes to product placement on air apart from advertising. PTI
