Big B, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ change for show's fourth season
Mumbai: Television’s biggest and the most-awaited money churning show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is getting bigger by the day.
The show that will once again have megastar Amitabh Bachchan as host in its fourth season, is undergoing quite a few changes to awe the audience with a sassy look. And it’s not just the show’s format that’s getting changed, for Big B too is all set to don a different avatar for the same.
Confirming the news, a source from the KBC crew told a daily, “KBC has been tweaked quite a lot. It’s going to be faster. The number of questions has been reduced to 12 from 15. And now there is a timer for the first 7 - 30 seconds to answer or the clock stops you. There are some innovative options for phoning a friend for help. There will be three experts from various fields on call and you can talk to them as options for an answer. They will appear on TV live as opposed to a voice.”
But getting Big B for KBC has been no easy feet. Apparently, Bachchan was committed to hosting the next season of ‘Bigg Boss’, but the channel missed out on the opportunity as it was busy working on ‘Fear Factor’.
“Fear Factor was to have members of the Indian cricket team as contestants. Everything was settled, but then the IPL controversy broke and BCCI cancelled the players’ participation. This was a big setback for Colors, so they had to delay their programming till they were able to find alternate participants,” adds the source.
So, when Amitabh did not hear from the makers of ‘Bigg Boss’, he decided to give his dates for KBC. Well, thankfully!
