Big B reveals he feels nervous anchoring KBC!
Mumbai : Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is all set to be back on TV with the fifth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The show will be aired from Monday onwards. But even after four successful seasons, the show has still not become a routine for him and he still feels nervous on the day of the first episode.
Bachchan has revealed that he feels nervous to face the camera and is anxious about the response of his viewers. "It`s another job but full of apprehensions, nervousness and anxiety. Because you are doing it for your audience and if they don`t like you then that is bad news," he said to a daily.
Over the past seasons KBC has evolved and the recent promos have a new generation touch to them. In fact, the new tag line which says `Koi Bhi Insaan Chhota Nahi Hota` adds a new dimension to the image of the show.
The actor said, "It`s primarily about giving an opportunity to people who perhaps have the knowledge but may not have had such an opportunity in life." He has done other shows but nothing fits him like KBC and his name gives credibility to the path-breaking show. However, ignoring all the sycophants around him, Bachchan Sr says, "I think the identification is because I was the first one to start this first of its kind show at its time which got a great response."
There have been four seasons of KBC so far, of which Big B did three. Looking at the progress show has made since the time it was first started in 2000 it might seem like a cake walk. But it wasn’t that easy for Sr. Bachchan, he recalls, "My TV debut wasn`t instantly accepted by many. People who are managers, guiders and my own family members thought that I was making a big mistake. But thankfully it worked for me. And now so many of my colleagues are involved with TV and that includes Jay`s best friend Veeru (Dharmendra`s) show too."
