Mumbai: Kapil Sharma’s impeccable comic timing and wit makes him the undisputed king of comedy. The very talented comedian (now a producer too) has transformed into a superstar of sorts and has succeeded in winning hearts of people across all age groups and walks of life.
His debut show as a producer- ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ - kicked off with a bang and went on to become one of the most popular shows on Indian TV. Bollywood superstars including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and many from the league have not just made their presence felt on the show but also used it as a platform to promote their respective films.
The format of the show is quite interesting and so are the characters- Dadi (Ali Asgar), Palak (Kiku), Bua (Upasana Singh), Mrs Bittu (Sumona Chakravarti) and last but not the least Bittu (Kapil Sharma). Each character has a distinctive style and an appeal of its own.
Nonetheless, fans of Gutthi (a very popular character played by Sunil Grover) will now have to come to terms with his exit from the show.
However, the one who holds the show together is none other than the man himself - Kapil Sharma. The super-talented artist bounced back stronger with a brand new set after the first set of his show was reduced to ashes following a short circuit, in September.
Sharma is growing popular with time. He tweeted, “Photo shoot for cover of Gr8 mag & den center spread for Man`s world mag .. New look for both hope u all like it (sic).”
With over 1,50,000 followers (and counting), it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Kapil Sharma is the rockstar of Indian television.
