‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’: When Kapil met Kapil!

Mumbai: None could have ever imagined that legendary cricketer Kapil Dev could have a witty side too! Kapil Sharma’s ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ played host to the former World Cup winning Indian captain Sunday evening and tickled people’s funny bone. Interestingly, it weren’t Sharma’s gags that made the audiences laugh their hearts out last evening. The legendary sportsman broke his otherwise serious image and cracked jokes, recalled hilarious instances of the past and helped the audiences have a rendezvous with the funny man in him. Dev’s wife and daughter too were present on the show and were seated among the live audience. The former India captain wasn’t the first sportsperson to grace the show. Sania Mirza, Virender Singh, Virendra Sehwag, Jwala Gutta, Sunil Gavaskar too have made their presence felt on the super-hit TV show.
