De Niro goes for drag look at `SNL`

London: Screen icon Robert De Niro comic skills came to the fore on `Saturday Night Live` show as he poked fun at his tough guy image by dressing in drag.

The Oscar-winning Hollywood legend while promoting his film `Little Fockers` at the show began his skit by saying that he was hoping "this will really kickstart my movie career."

The guest host then appeared as the Afghanistan leader Hamid Karzai and also played the author Harlan Kane in the skit, however, De Niro`s role as a hapless rapper mother drew the biggest applause from the audience, Contactmusic reported.

Niro brought some big names like Robin Williams and his `Little Fockers` co-star Ben Stiller to participate in the skit.
