Eid celebrations are simple and spiritual: Vikrant Massey

He became a sweetheart of thousands of TV viewers with his stint as Dharam in ‘Dharam Veer’ and went on to play lovable Shyam in ‘Balika Vadhu.’ Now he is playing the lead in ‘Baba Aisa Var Dhoondho.’ This young talented artist has come of age and is on the threshold of making it big in the field of entertainment.

In an exclusive interview with Gayatri Sankar of Zeenews.com, TV actor Vikrant Massey shares what the festival of Eid means to him.

Talking about how he celebrates Eid, Vikrant said, “I offer Namaz with my close friends. We also do charity which is called Zakat, a customary practice made before the prayer.”

Vikrant’s family, which happens to be a perfect specimen of cosmopolitanism, celebrates Eid with utmost devotion. “A feast would follow the prayers and we would treat ourselves to some delicious Sheer-Korma and Sevaiyya prepared by my mother”, said Vikrant.

“And since we would be having a full fledged meal after almost a month of keeping Roza, it would make us feel strange to hog onto delicious recipes,” added Vikrant.

Eid is a very special occasion for Vikrant, who is deeply spiritual and fascinated by the teachings of Islam.
