For TV celebs, friends are 'special' family members

Mumbai: Actress Sayantani Ghosh considers friends as an "important part of life" and, along with Deblina Chatterjee, feels they are like "members of family". Ahead of Friendship Day on Sunday, TV stars recall the best memories with their friends.

Pallavi Kulkarni: Friends are the family that you get to choose and I value all my friends a lot. I do have a group of friends with whom I regularly hang out and they all are very dear to me. We used to celebrate Friendship Day in a big manner when we were in school and college by making friendship bands for each other.

Sayantani Ghosh: Friendship Day is one day which we all have been celebrating since school. Friends are an important part of my life and I value each of them very much. I have a few friends but they all are very dear to me. From the industry, Barkha Bisht is my closest friend.

Anand Suryavanshi: A friend is someone who accepts you the way you are. It's a bond we choose and are not born with. I feel blessed to have some really good friends and even though there is no communication for a long time, it always starts off from where it last ended. Hence I cherish all my friends and on this day I would like to wish all my fans a very happy Friendship Day.

Nirbhay Wadhwa: For me, friendship is something pure. I believe in having fewer friends, but true ones. I make it a point to celebrate Friendship Day with my buddies every year over lunch or dinner.

Deblina Chatterjee: Friends are special and I consider them as a part of my family. Celebrating Friendship Day now takes me back to my childhood days. In school, we used to tie Friendship Band on friends' wrist. My younger brother has always been my best friend and will always be one for lifetime.
