Los Angeles: Popular HBO series "Game of Thrones" will again travel to Spain, but this time its northern regions, to shoot portions of its upcoming sixth season.
Joining the list of previously announced locations, Girona and Peniscola, the new shooting spots in Spain include the Bardenas Badlands, the Santa Florentina and Zafra Castles and Almeria's Alcazaba, said to The Hollywood Reporter.
Locations of southern Spain were chosen for the season five. Specific places will be unveiled before filming begins later this year. Peter Welter of Fresco Films Services will once again provide production services in Spain as he did for the shoots in season five.
