George Lucas’ search for ‘feasible technology’ puts `Star Wars` on hold

Washington: Despite rumours flying that George Lucas has shot 50 episodes of a live-action ‘Star Wars’ TV series and that the shows are already ‘in the can’, it seems fans might have to wait a long while before they can catch up with it.

It has emerged that Lucas, who has 50 completed scripts, is still looking for a cost-effective technology.

A Lucasfilm spokesperson has told EW that he is ‘waiting for a different type of technology’ that he can use to make it ‘economically feasible to shoot the shows’, reports a news channel.

Lucas announced last year that the live-action TV series -- set between ‘Revenge of the Sith’ and ‘A New Hope’ -- was being postponed.
