Geri booed at ‘X Factor’ auditions

London: ‘X Factor’ guest judge Geri Halliwell was so mean to the auditionees for the show that she ended up being booed by crowds and dubbed a Spite Girl.

The former Spice girl stood in for mum-to-be Dannii Minogue, 38, at the Glasgow auditions this week.

But, despite receiving huge applause on taking seat next to Cheryl Cole, 26, Louis Walsh, 57, and Simon Cowell, 50, Ginger Spice saw the atmosphere in the hall changing pretty soon.

And, the Fiery Geri, 37, started being so cruel during her one-off stint on the panel that the audience said she was “worse than Simon”.

At one stage, show fans even urged to bring Minogue back to the judge;s panel.

“Bring back Dannii! Bring back Dannii!” the Daily Stra quoted the crowd as chanting.

An insider said: “It all started off well for Geri and then she blew it. She was quite mean. Even the other judges were a bit taken aback by some of her comments.

“She even outdid Simon Cowell. Some people were saying: ‘Thank God she’s only a stand-in.’”
