Jennifer Lawrence to host `Saturday Night Live`

London: ‘Hunger Games’ star Jennifer Lawrence has been announced as a guest host on Saturday Night Live.

Lawrence will headline SNL`s first episode of the New Year, set to air on January 19. The 22-year-old will appear alongside musical guest stars `The Lumineers`, reported Digital Spy online.

The "Silver Linings Playbook" star was nominated this week for a Golden Globe award for `Best Actress`.

Lawrence has also been nominated in the `Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role` category at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, for her role in the film opposite Bradley Cooper.

She is currently filming The Hunger Games`s second installment "Catching Fire", that is due for release in November 2013.
