‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’: Andy makes way for Sophie Choudry

Zee Media Bureau Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss’ season 7 fame VJ Andy made way for actress-singer Sophie Choudry to qualify for the next round in celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ season 7. Sophie, who is not just a good singer, wowed judges- Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza, Karan Johar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy- with her dancing skills. Sophie’s performance was extremely sensuous. She put up a great act with her choreographer Deepak and danced to the latest version of the classic number- ‘Raat akeli hai’- a track produced in collaboration with Raghav Sachar for which she has lent her voice. Andy along with his choreographer Bhavani couldn’t impress the judges as much as Sophie and that subsequently paved the way for his elimination from the show. "I never expected that my innings will be so short. I tried to give my best but I feel that I could not make it to the audience`s hearts. I had a little bit inhibitions since the beginning because my dance partner was completely new with no experience of reality show," Andy told PTI. Apart from the new choreographer, Andy conceded that he misjudged people`s expectations from him. "People had huge expectations from me but I think I was not able to fulfil them because my two performances were lacking concepts. We also changed our performance last minute to bring some newness and I felt that was the final nail in the coffin," he said. Asked who has the maximum chances of winning the show, Andy said, "Sophie (Choudry). She is a fine dancer and her choreographer Deepak has many innovative concepts. Sophie has a huge fan following too." Sophie took to Twitter to thank Andy. She tweeted:
