Jay Leno may retire from his role as host of `The Tonight Show` in 2014.

New York: Jay Leno may retire from his role as host of `The Tonight Show` in 2014.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jimmy Fallon may replace the 63-year-old comedian as early as next fall. Though NBC has officially denied the rumors, sources told the magazine that they might be announcing Leno`s retirement in May, making the next season of the show his last, reported the New York Daily News. Insiders have speculated that the network is hoping to take up Fallon partially to compete with rival show " Jimmy Kimmel Live!," which recently moved to Leno`s 11:35 slot on ABC. ANI
