Mumbai: `Bigg Boss 5` which has been gaining a lot of popularity on TV was rumoured to be bringing former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes aboard for this season. But when he did not appear on the show, it was taken for bogus speculations.

However, recently when Rhodes was in the capital he spoke to a daily and confirmed he was going to participate in the show and the news was true.

"Yes, I was supposed to be participating in `Bigg Boss 5`. But at the last moment, things didn`t work out. I decided to opt out because they weren`t paying enough. I was keen to be a part of it," he said.

Jonty, who`s been the coach for Mumbai Indians, is excited to leave for a two-week vacation with his photographer-girlfriend Caroline Mc Clelland in Geneva. " It`s been long that we haven`t met. I got busy with the Champions` Trophy. Finally, I`ve got a break."
