Los Angeles: Kanye West and and TV host Jimmy Kimmel are friends again after their recent public spat.
The duo sorted out their differences when West, who had gone on an angry tirade against Kimmel for making fun of his BBC interview, made an appearance on Kimmel`s late show.
Opening the show, Kimmel admitted that he had only watched a bit of West`s BBC interview before doing a sketch of the rapper, featuring children.
"I think some people read into it differently that we were positioning you as a child. Which was not the case," Kimmel said, noting they`ve done similar sketches for other celebrities.
West, who shares an uneasy relationship with media, admitted that he poured his frustrations from years of tabloid press into his Twitter tirade against Kimmel because he knew Kimmel and had previously been friendly with him, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"This is the one person I know, so I can go and let out everything that I feel about every single bogus Weekly cover. Every single bogus skit... Every person who feels it`s OK to treat celebrities like zoo animals," West said.
Kimmel acknowledged that he has also felt like a zoo animal under media scrutiny, but wondered if West was responsible for some of the backlash.
"A lot of people think you are a jerk. I often in my own personal conversations say `No. I know this guy. He is not a jerk,`" Kimmel said.
West, however, reiterated most of the statements he made in the BBC Radio 1 interview, claiming he could not lie about not being a creative genius, which Kimmel said was "a weird thing to say" but appreciated the rapper for his honesty.
Kimmel later denied that the feud and subsequent patch-up was a publicity stunt on his part.
