Los Angeles: Kathy Griffin has been roped in as a new host on `Fashion Police`.

The network made it official on December 1, ending months of speculation on who would replace the late Joan Rivers, reportedly.

Celebrity stylist and TV personality Brad Goreski is also added to the panel, replacing original co-host George Kotsiopoulos. They will join returning co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne.

"Not only was Joan a trailblazer, she was also a dear friend and mentor to Kathy, who will no doubt continue her legacy and do the series justice by bringing her own unique comedic style and tell-it-like-it-is personality to the host chair," said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development, E!.

"Plus, the addition of trendsetting stylist Brad completes the panel as the show begins its next chapter, which will focus on covering the major award shows and fashion events throughout the year," Olde added.

Melissa Rivers, Executive Producer, who is also Joan's daughter, added, "Kathy just feels right, and Brad brings a fun, new voice to join Giuliana and Kelly in this ensemble. I'm excited to see where this panel takes this series my mother so adored in this next incarnation."

"Fashion Police" has been on a hiatus following Joan's sudden passing on September 4.

The show will return with 17 new episodes beginning January 12, 2015 with Golden Globes coverage.
