Los Angeles: Actress Katie Holmes will appear in the third season of 'Ray Donovan'.
Showtime announced that Holmes, 36, will have a "major guest starring role" in the upcoming episodes, reported E! online.
Holmes will be involved in a storyline that introduces Deadwood's Ian McShane as wealthy movie producer Andrew Finney, who hires fixer Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) to keep family trouble secret.
The actress has been cast as Andrew Finney's stylish and aggressive daughter Paige.
Holmes's television credits include playing Joey Potter in more than 120 episodes of 'Dawson's Creek' for five years.
She more recently played Jackie Kennedy in the miniseries 'The Kennedys', a role which she will reprise for the follow-up 'The Kennedys: After Camelot'.
'Ray Donovan' will also welcome 'ER' star Leland Orser in its third season, premiering this summer.
