`Koffee With Karan`: Arjun Kapoor spills the beans on his equation with stepmom Sridevi!

New Delhi: The `Ishaqzaade` star Arjun Kapoor, who was always tight-lipped about revealing his equation with stepmother Sridevi, has finally opened up about the same. It was on the recently aired episode of `Koffee With Karan`, Boney Kapoor`s son talked about his relationship with his father and his current wife. According to a daily, Kapoor, who was at the talk show accompanied by his upcoming film `Gunday`s` co-star Ranveer Singh, gave way to some grim moments as he spoke about how he and his dad have bridged the gap over the years, ever since Sridevi entered his life as his stepmom. Arjun even spoke about how his late mother , Mona Shourie Kapoor, had been a hands-on mom, despite going through a tough time dealing with her separation from Boney. "Whatever she sacrificed to make me reach where I am and my sister, to be able to do things in terms of securing us financially, emotionally, making us stable and being able to dream of having a better future. She hasn`t lived to see that," Arjun Kapoor said. Not only Arjun spoke about his mother`s disease and his improved relationship with his father, but he also revealed that he respects his step mother, Sridevi. "My mother taught me to be respectful to everybody. My mother allowed me to develop my own equation with each and every person including her. She never fed it in me to be a certain way. I went on holidays with my father even after they separated and my father`s family was along. He has two other children as well. The dynamics will be complicated. It will never be normal `We Are Family` concept. It doesn`t end like films do. You`ll never live happily ever after but life goes on. I`m respectful towards her because she is my father`s wife. She will always remain that. My father is very happy with her and for me that is important," he added.
