Mumbai: A lot has been speculated about the exit of Kapil Sharma and the entry of Krushna Abhishek as the host of ‘Comedy Nights Live’, a show, that was earlier known as ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’.

After the CEO of the channel airing the show narrated his side of the story, Krushna has broken his silence surrounding the controversy.

In an interview to Hindustan Times, Krushna said, “I was shocked that I was asked to replace him.”

Krushna admits to being a fan of Kapil but doesn’t really intend to become a stand-up comedian like him.

The nephew of veteran actor Govinda, Krushna also spoke about how his equation with Kapil changed. The latter had apparently invited him to be part of CNWP, but the former declined the offer as he didn’t want to be a part of an entourage.

However, though Krushna confesses that he is not a friend of Kapil, he respects the latter.
