Washington: She had infamously gate crashed the first state dinner hosted by President Barack Obama for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the daredevilry has paid off for Michaele Salahi who has bagged the starring role in the new reality show `The Real Housewives of DC`.
The blonde who is married to Tareq Salahi, an Arab origin businessman and polo player, has been described as a ‘DC power player’ by Bravo TV which broadcasts the `Real
Housewives` franchise, already a superhit in it`s New York and New Jersey versions.
The Salahis stirred up plenty of drama on November 24 by making it through Marine guards, Secret Service details and White House staff to rub elbows with America`s top politicians at the state dinner.
A camera team from Bravo TV had trailed the couple that evening and the infamous episode will feature in the much awaited series.
Bravo announced the full cast on Tuesday, saying that the five chosen women have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and
fundraisers in Washington society.
"The series brings viewers inside the lives and homes of movers and shakers in the community, the DC housewives move comfortably from money and politics to relationships and high fashion," said a statement on the channel`s website about the series which debuts on Aug 5.
