My mother is really happy with my elimination: Archana Vijaya
TV host Archana Vijaya, the third contestant to be evicted from 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 6', says her mother prayed hard for her elimination as she did not want her to get injured ahead of her wedding.
Mumbai: TV host Archana Vijaya, the third contestant to be evicted from 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 6', says her mother prayed hard for her elimination as she did not want her to get injured ahead of her wedding.
Archana's ouster from the Rohit Shetty-hosted show followed elimination of Harshad Chopra and Siddharth Bhardwaj.
The 32-year-old video jockey got married to beau Dheeraj Puri last month after coming out of the show.
"My mother used to cry every day for me. She was worried that I will get injured or something. She would say, 'You are about to get married, what if something bad happens!'.
"My mother's prayers worked big time in my elimination. I came back and asked her if she was happy and she was like 'Thank God!'," Archana told PTI.
The show turned out to be a great experience for Archana, who finds herself mentally stronger now.
"More than the physical part, the show makes you overcome your fears mentally. I am much stronger now. I had never done something like this before so it was an amazing learning experience for me," she said.
Archana feels this time female contestants are giving tough competition to their male counterparts on the show.
"Women are really strong this time. They are giving a tough fight to the men. In a task between Iqbal and Asha, he lost to her though he has a lot more strength than her. In fact, here Iqbal's strength worked against him.
"However, I also feel that overall men have more strength than women. They have such great built," the anchor said.
Archana now looks forward to hosting Indian Premier League (IPL).
"That's my time. It will be fun and tiring at the same time. Post IPL, I will go on my honeymoon. It has already been delayed," she said.
The celebrity contestants left on 'Khatron Ke Khiladi ? Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns' are Ashish Chowdhry, Hussain Kuwajerwala, Iqbal Khan, Sana Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Rashami Desai, Asha Negi, Ridhi Dogra, Meiyang Chang, Rakesh Kumar and Nathalia Kaur.
