Never in politics again: Shekhar Suman

Lucknow: Politics is a strict no-no for actor Shekhar Suman, who is coming back on the small screen with the new season of his popular satirical show ‘Movers and Shakers’. His first guest on the inaugural episode March 12 will be Anna Hazare.

"No, never again," was Shekhar`s response when reporters asked him about his political plans. He was a Congress party candidate from Patna in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls pitted against Shatrughan Sinha of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He had lost at the hustings.

Shekhar, 52, promises a "more refined, funnier `Movers and Shakers`".

"The show (the first version) was path-breaking in many terms and we have only set tougher and higher benchmarks for us for the new innings," he added.

Suman, who was in Lucknow Thursday to promote the show, said the show would have a mix of new and old guests and said that it would be shot only a day in advance to ensure it is as fresh and newsy as it could be.
