Paris Hilton’s show axed after just one series due to low viewership

London: Paris Hilton’s reality TV show ‘The World According to Paris’ has been axed after just one series.

According to New York magazine’s Vulture blog, Oxygen will not be renewing the 30-year-old media personality’s reality show for a second series due to plunging viewership.

The season premiere in June drew a meagre 409,000 viewers, with ratings for subsequent episodes falling consistently.

A spokesperson for the show told US website Gossip Cop that no pick up decision has yet been made.

“The show just recently completed its run and no pick up decision has been made,” the Daily Mail quoted the spokesperson as saying.
