London: Piers Morgan is set to sign a 10-million-pound US telly deal that will make him America`s richest TV star.
After the contract is signed, Morgan will replace veteran interviewer Larry King, 75, as the top presenter on CNN.
This will be the first time a Brit has acquired a leading chat show on American TV.
The deal is sure to keep the former newspaper editor, 45, too busy to keep his judging role on Britain`s Got Talent.
"No matter how much Piers wants to stay on BGT, he just can`t do it all, simple as that," The Sun quoted an insider, as saying.
Morgan has also pledged to stay as a judge on America`s Got Talent on US channel NBC - although rapper Ice T is in the list if he fails to.
