Rosie O'Donnell to quit 'The View'

Los Angeles: Actress Rosie O'Donnell will exit 'The View' as the talk show's co-host next week, owing to her personal problems.

The 52-year-old comedienne wants to focus on her children after the split from second wife, Michelle Rounds, last November, reported Us magazine. Her spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, and ABC said O'Donnell will leave the show sometime next week, confirming a report in the New York Post.

"Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first," her spokeswoman Cindi Berger said in a statement.

The channel, ABC News, while confirming O'Donnell's departure, said they understand and respect her decision.

"Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show. When she told us that she wanted to exit 'The View', we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first."
