Shah Rukh fails to woo TV viewers
Mumbai: This might come as a huge setback for the man who is considered as a force to reckon with in the land of Bollywood. We are talking about, none other than, the self confessed ‘badshah of bedroom’ Shah Rukh Khan who ironically having started his career with television has crashed badly in his latest venture on the tube – ‘Jor Ka Jhatka’.
The programme hosted by Shah Rukh Khan has made a new record of sorts of having the lowest TRPs for any show hosted by a Bollywood star.
Even Rakhi Sawant got a chance to make a mockery of SRK’s new show. “My ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ on the same channel had more viewer ship than ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’. Ek dum Zor Ka Jhatka laga hai”, she said.
Opening to a poor television rating point of 2.6, ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ never managed to garner enough points to be called a successful show. The programme could not manage to attract audience in the second week as well and its average rating dropped to 1.7 to 1.4 TVR.
Reportedly, SRK was paid a whopping amount of Rs 20 crores which now comes under speculation if he did the show under pressing need for big investment for his sci-fi production ‘Ra.One’.
