Simon Cowell ‘making UK ‘X Factor’ tougher to retain its sparkle’

Washington: Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to revamp the UK ‘X Factor’ from next season and make it ‘tougher’.

According to the London Star, Cowell even brought files of material with him while he vacations on his yacht in the French Riviera, and has been looking into the prospect of making it even more ‘gruelling’ for the contestants of 2012.

Reports said that he is mulling over assigning the contestants to ‘gruelling workshops, dance classes, song writing sessions, master classes with special guests and lightning auditions.’

“Simon may not be on X Factor UK this year but he is making sure it keeps its sparkle. He’s really putting the pressure on,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
