Simon Cowell mulling launching ‘X Factor for chefs’

London: Music mogul Simon Cowell is reportedly cooking up his own version of MasterChef, which may be launched as early as next year.

According to reports, the talent show judge has “high hopes” for the new cooking series that insiders have billed as an “X Factor for chefs”.

“Simon has always been really keen on the idea of a cooking show and wants it to be his next big thing,” The Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

“It is a really exciting new project and one of several being worked on by Simon’s production team. It will be on screens soon,” the source added.

Cowell plans to start work on the new cookery show next year after ‘US X Factor’ ends.
