Simon Cowell regrets not giving Cheryl Cole enough time on ‘X Factor’

Washington: Simon Cowell has revealed that he is regretting for not giving Cheryl Cole enough time on ‘X Factor’.
The 51-year-old star, who axed Cole from the show and replaced her with Nicole Scherzinger, at first felt his decision was the right thing but he is now repentant for it. “Maybe I didn’t give her enough time, and you have to be in the moment. I offered her the show, and initially she accepted it,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Life and Style. “Then it went public that she didn’t and had the chance to still come back, but for whatever reason I couldn’t get her [on the phone]. Unless I spoke to her, there was no way I would have her back,” he added. Cole is still angry at Cowell and although they haven’t spoken since, he still hopes they can work out the things and renew their friendship. “She is still grumpy with me. I can look myself in the mirror and say I wasn’t being mean. I offered her a lot of money to go back as a hero, and it didn’t work out. I think when you have the history we have, you’ll eventually work it out,” he added. ANI
