Sridevi to make her television debut in ‘Nach Baliye’?
Mumbai: If Madhuri Dixit has done it, how can Sridevi be far behind? After making a spectacular comeback in ‘English Vinglish’, 80s diva and India’s first female superstar, Sridevi is all set to make her debut on television as a celebrity judge.
Sridevi has been approached by the makers of dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ to be a celebrity judge on the show along with Malaika Arora. Sources have stated that both the actors have been approached and are currently in talks with the channel.
While Malaika has been a judge the show in the past, it would be the first time that Sridevi would be donning the hat of a judge. Earlier Sridevi had appeared in a serial called ‘Malini Iyer’ for a brief period of time which had got abysmal response from the viewers.
While promoting ‘English Vinglish’ Sridevi was seen on several TV shows including ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and ‘KBC’.
Speaking to DNA, the actress’s manager confirmed the news saying, “The channel has approached us and we are currently in discussions.”
‘Nach Baliye’ a popular dance show showcases the dancing talents of celebrity couples who are typically non dancers. For the current season former cricketer Srikkanth and his wife have been approached to participate in the show. Other couples include Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal, Rahul Mahajan and his wife Dimpy.
