'The Wire' creator David Simon reuniting with cast

Los Angeles: 'The Wire' creator David Simon and members of the cast will reunite for a panel at PaleyFest New York.

The television festival is being held from October 11 through October 19 in New York City, and will celebrate current and past television programmes, reportedly.

Simon will be joined by The Wire stars Wendell Pierce, Sonja Sohn, Seth Gilliam and Jim True-Frost at the Paley Centre for Media on October 16.

Lawrence Gilliard Jr, Michael K Williams, Jamie Hector, John Doman and executive producer Nina Kostroff Noble are to be in attendance as well.

Dominic West - who famously played the renegade cop Jimmy McNulty - is expected to send in a video message. 'The Wire' originally aired on HBO from 2002 to 2008, and has been hailed by the Writers Guild of America as one of the 10 best-written television shows of all time.
