Los Angeles: TV spy drama 'Covert Affairs' has been cancelled after completing its five seasons.

USA Network has opted not to move forward with the Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham-starrer drama due to poor ratings, said The Hollywood Reporter.

In its heydays, 'Covert Affairs' reportedly regularly averaged 5 million total viewers in live-plus-same-day returns.

Its recent fifth season, however, was said to have hit a series low of 1.1 million viewers in November, leading up to an average of about 1.5 million and not enough to justify a second run despite the network's ownership stake in the show.
