Panaji: Organisers of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2010 today said that Hollywood director Ang Lee has not yet confirmed his participation in the festival.
"Ang Lee is not yet confirmed," Festival Director S M Khan told reporters today. He said that the attempts are on to get Lee for the festival.
"He may come on November 29 or 30 when Taiwanese package of films will be screened," Khan said.
Ten day long IFFI 2010 will be inaugurated tomorrow by Union Railway Minister Mamata Benerjee.
Indian film legend Yash Chopra and Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan will also be present as guests for the inaugural event.
IFFI sources stated that Lee is expected to shoot in Goa for the forthcoming film `Life of Pi`.
The director has worked on diverse set of films such as `Eat Drink Man Woman` (1994), `Sense and Sensibility` (1995),
`Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon` (2000), `Hulk` (2003) and
`Brokeback Mountain` (2005) for which he won an Academy award.
