Mumbai: The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG), which hosts the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has partnered with the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) to create a mega shopping and food festival to be held between November 22 to December 2.
Jazz artists, jugglers, caricature artists, fire eaters, acrobats, food courts serving Goan delicacies and a shopping hunt will be the highlights of the shopping festival in Goa`s two major towns, Panaji and Margao, during IFFI.
In an attempt to replicate the Dubai shopping festival model for the event, extensive discounts will be offered at over 200 retail establishments and restaurants.
The Grand Shopping Hunt, a treasure hunt with over 100 participants, is the highlight of the shopping festival. Additionally there will be contests and games held everyday for children as well as adults, Manoj Srivastava, CEO, ESG said.
"This year, IFFI synergises global participation, high profile glamour, world-class entertainment and internationally applauded films. We want to extent that excitement and buzz beyond the theatres to the people of Goa. The shopping and food festival will embody the spirit of IFFI with the perfect mix of fun, entertainment, and great cuisine," he added.
