Mumbai: The first day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2011 began Kolkata’s favourite designer Anamika Khanna.
Anamika, who loves to play with colour and texture and loves experimenting with trousseau wear, got inspired from menswear for her new summer/resort collection.The ace designer showcased a new trend for the women, who loves to dress-up nattily and thinks out of the box.
Among Bollywood brigade, it was Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor, who chose an outfit from Anamika’s collection for the first day at LIFW.
LFW Summer/Resort 2011 is a five-day long fashion gala, which runs from 10-15th March at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, and showcasing around 79 designers.
