Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ makes a ‘Dhoom’ at the Box Office, creates history!

Mumbai: Despite all the controversies, Aamir Khan starrer PK has become a winner at the Box Office. The film that also stars Anushka Sharma , Sanjay Dutt , Sushant Singh Rajput and Saurabh Shukla has struck gold at the Box Office and has become the first Bollywood film ever to make Rs 300 crores! Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to write:

#PK sets a new benchmark. Crosses ₹ 300 cr. HIGHEST GROSSER EVER [Hindi]. First *Hindi* film to attain this remarkable status. — taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) January 5, 2015

Aamir had vroomed away with the moolah last year in December with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dhoom 3’ and this year is film ‘PK’ outdoes the actor’s previous record. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, ‘PK’ released on December 19. The film has been making headlines ever since the first poster of the film was out. The poster in question had Aamir Khan in nude covering his essentials with a transistor. Post the release of the film on December 19, a number of religious groups have protested against the film and demanded a ban on the same for hurting religious sentiments.
