Amitabh to recreate the magic of ‘Pag Ghunghroo’ in ‘Aladin’

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai: Remember the comic moves and classic attire that Amitabh Bachchan donned in the popular song ‘Pag Ghunghroo’ from blockbuster film ‘Namak Halaal’? The magical feel of the number that took nation by the storm and is still a favourite among music lovers will be recreated with superstar Amitabh shaking-a-leg again to this rocking hit.Twenty-seven years after the song went to rule the charts owing to Bachchan’s flamboyant attire, filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is gearing up to recreate the magic in his film ‘Aladin’. The film that stars Amitabh in the lead role will have him grooving to a song dressed in the same attire as his previous hit. Confirming the news a daily quoted a source as saying, "In a peppy single called ‘O Re Sawariya’, Amitabh is wearing a white ‘kurta’ and pink ‘pagdi’ that is strikingly similar to the one he wore in the Prakash Mehra`s film. The costumes have been designed by Narendra Kumar. In this sequence, Jacqueline Fernandes (Jasmine) is trying to woo Riteish (Aladin) while Amitabh Bachchan (Genius) keeps popping into the scene at various points." Talking about the song, Sujoy said, "Though we had no intention to repeat his look from ‘Namak Halaal’. It is purely a coincidence but it definitely shows how the actor has impacted our minds over the years through his cult performances. We actually ended up recreating similar outfits wore by him around 27 years back."
