'Bombay Velvet': Anushka Sharma's long make-up session!

New Delhi: The tall and talented Anushka Sharma created quite a noise this year for two reasons. One for her debut production 'NH10' hitting the right chord and two for her presence on the World Cup 2015 grounds. The slim and sleek Anushka has two major films lined-up this year for release.

Besides Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do', the actress also has Anurag Kashyap's much-awaited 'Bombay Velvet'. According to a leading daily, Anushka's look in the latter as a jazz singer required her to put on a special kind of make-up, representing that era of 60s.

The leggy lass nearly took four hours to get ready for her shots, reportedly. Even her costumes are believed to be quite heavy in weight. 'Bombay Velvet' stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma in lead roles, with filmmaker Karan Johar playing the baddie for the first time ever on-screen.

The film is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book Mumbai Fables, set in Bombay of 1960s. 'Bombay Velvet' will hit the screens on May 15, 2015.
