"Pleasantly surprised and thankful to the CBFC for seeing the UDTA PUNJAB trailer in the context and clearing it without a single cut.Big one," reads his tweet.

The 43-year-old director/producer, who has been in a constant fight with the CBFC in regard to censorship, further tweeted his gratitude, saying, "Having cursed the CBFC always for their overzealous attitude , must credit them where it's due.Thank you mr Nihalani, hoping it continues."

The trailer of ' Udta Punjab,' launched yesterday at Mumbai in presence of the whole star cast, starts with an ominous message, "70 percent of Punjab youth is in drug addict. If this is not stopped, Punjab will soon become like Mexico."

The video shows glimpses of four different lives, played by Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, who have one connection and that is Punjab and its drug addiction.
